Episode 36 – How to pave the way for the next generation women

Women are still substantially under-represented in leadership positions in various industries across the world.

Women who have risen to leadership positions have faced uphill battles to get to the top. How did those women who get to the top do it? What was it that set them apart?

This week’s episode is all about how to create opportunities for the next generation of women. I discussed extensively with Racheal Awe how she has navigated her career journey so far.

Racheal is an executive Business and IT leader with extensive experience in developing, communicating, executing, and sustaining corporate enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, in order to achieve long-term strategic vision and growth.

Racheal has held management roles in several major global corporations such as ExxonMobil, TD Bank, Sears Canada, and Saks Fifth Avenue; and she is currently the Associate Vice President, Executive Integration & Office of the CEO at Canadian Tire Corporation – serving as the Chief of Staff to the CEO.

Racheal is PMP certified, holds an undergraduate degree in Information Technology from York University and, an Executive MBA degree from the prestigious Kellogg -Schulich school of business at Northwestern & York University.

Racheal is happily married to Anu, and together they have two children.

This is one episode you should not miss and share with everyone you love.
