23 | How to lend a great job

This is the Part 2 of “Landing a great job with Shawn Huang.” If you haven’t heard Part 1 yet, go back and listen to it. That is the episode right before this because you’d need that for context.

Whether you’re just graduating from college or want to change careers, the process of looking for a job without experience can be frustrating.

This week’s episode is all about how newcomers, immigrants, and international students land great jobs. I discussed extensively with Shawn Huang strategies that job candidates can use to land a job without Canadian work experience.

Shawn currently runs 36paths.com, an online career accelerator that helps students land great finance jobs in Canada faster. Before he became a full-time entrepreneur, he worked as Product Manager at Scotiabank and Overbond (a VC-backed FinTech Startup in Toronto).

He earned his Master of Accounting degree from University of Toronto and he is a CFA charter holder as well as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).

He is passionate about finance, technology, product, entrepreneurship, and spirituality.

I invited Shawn here to discuss practical tips that immigrants, newcomers, and international students can use to land a job without Canadian work experience. This is one episode you should not miss and share with everyone you love.
