It is important for us to bring to life the best version of ourselves regardless of our limitations.
Being at our best is an evolving process, yet the one true constant is that we improve without settling.
How do you keep pushing forward when every circumstance is screaming at you to quit?
This week’s episode is all about how newcomers, immigrants and international students can overcome adversity and achieve outstanding success. I discussed extensively with Samra Zafar, strategies that newcomers, immigrants, and international students can adopt to succeed in life.
Samra Zafar is an award-winning international speaker, bestselling author, consultant, educator, and entrepreneur who advocates for gender equity, inclusion, and human rights. She has been recognized among the Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada, and a Top 25 Canadian Immigrant.
Her book, A Good Wife: Escaping The Life I Never Chose, is an international bestseller and named among CBC’s Best Books of 2019, and is now being adapted to a premium TV series.
She is one of the youngest Alumni Governors at the University of Toronto, a Celebrated Ambassador for Plan International, and a board member for Women’s College Hospital Foundation.
I invited Samra here to discuss practical tips that immigrants, newcomers, and international students can use to succeed despite the challenges life throws at them. This is one episode you should not miss and share with everyone you love.
