In the last 20 years, I have become the go-to supply chain professional due to my wide experience which cuts across end-to-end supply chain operations. My experience spans various industries (FMCG, Pharmaceuticals & Biotech) with projects executed across geographies. I am a professional with a focus on supply chain change management and best practice implementation. This was used in re-starting Swipha operations after almost a year of shutdown by transforming the S&OP processes which led to an increase in production capacity from 400,000 to 1,000,000 units (over 200%) monthly.
At the start of my career in supply chain as a logistics officer at Nestle Nigeria Plc, I was responsible for warehousing/inventory management and distribution/transportation planning. I was trained in Ghana to ensure the successful go-live of SAP. During this time, I moved across 4 sections of supply chain (Order to cash, Procure to Pay, Planning, Warehouse Management System (WMS). I was charged with training 200+ supply chain teams in preparation for the go-live project. We had itch-free testing and my excellence was recognized with a global award and promotion to a management role. Key responsibilities/results achieved in this role include;
Oversaw customers’ service level and order-to-cash processes while achieving over 98% just-in-time delivery on distribution operations.
Designed warehouse storage capacity and stock movement in-line with SAP (ERP) system
I moved through the ranks gaining expertise across various sectors. My 15 years of management experience spans several countries (South Africa, Kenya, Egypt, Ghana, Nigeria, Paris & Dubia) working with stakeholders, leading subordinates and strategizing with top management to achieve the overall business objectives. As the head of supply chain for a US-based Biotech company with spread across Europe & Africa, I oversaw the logistical operations of teams across 12 African countries.
Some results achieved in management positions include;
Transportation tendering and reduction of freight rate by 15% i.e reducing expenses by over $500,000
Procurement placement strategies that resulted in over $2m in savings.
Rail transportation planning.
I have in the last 15 years mentored 12 youths who have become leaders in this sector with the aim of achieving SDG 8 in Africa.
When I am not busy leading supply chain teams across countries, I love watching football and spending time with my son.
