Country Coordinator
• Oversaw the operations of the ECOWAS Volunteers Programme in Liberia and provided strategic support to the ECOWAS Youth and Sports Development Division for the overall implementation of empowerment programs in the 15 ECOWAS members state. • Recruited, trained and led a team of 35 international volunteers leveraging their expertise to support the peacebuilding and development process in 8 out of 15 underserved provinces of the Republic of Liberia. • Responsible for leading team to achieve and maintain service level commitment while focusing on quality and professionalism. • I have fostered and developed partnerships, including initiating and maintaining networks with the government, United Nations Agencies, NGOs, the private sector and other partners. • Performed various diplomatic functions including but not limited to representing ECOWAS in high-level stakeholders' meetings, participation in regional policy-making and strategic planning meetings & conferences, speaking on behalf of ECOWAS Special Representative in Liberia in various Governmental and (Inter) national partners' events. • Oversaw the monitoring and evaluation of the ECOWAS Volunteers Programme to ensure sourced professionals achieve the program's mandates and target deliverables. • Prepared analytic reports and presentations on the implementation of the ECOWAS Volunteers Programme to executive members of the ECOWAS Commission, including but not limited to the Directors, Financial Controller, Special Representatives and the Vice President. • Oversaw the finances of the programme, including but not limited to managing overhead costs, volunteers' entitlements and prepared detailed financial reports both quarterly and end of the year • Provided strategic support for implementing various ECOWAS Projects in Liberia, including the EU-funded Early Warning Election Mechanism Project, Girls of Excellent and Fistula Projects. • Facilitated and coordinated the maiden edition of ECOWAS Volunteer Programme Publication. • Responsible for leading sensitive and challenging workplace issues ranging from interpersonal conflict and harassment as expressed by team members.
